Joint irrigation

Joint irrigation is performed arthroscopically, i.e. the joint is examined inside with a small camera.
Irrigation with a special liquid removes cartilage fragments, dead cells and other substances from the joint. Joint irrigation usually has no long-term effect but may alleviate pain for short periods.
