For allergic patients

For patients suffering from allergies against certain metals – known as hypersensitivity – there are implants with special alloys. These are most often used in patients with hypersensitivity against materials such as nickel, cobalt or chromium. The implant components are provided with a titanium-niobium-nitride (TiNbN) coating  This keeps metal ions from passing into the patient’s organism and coming into contact with the surrounding tissue and thus prevents allergic reactions.
